The objective of the evaluation was to determine the relevance, effectiveness, and impact of technical assistance services and training in microfinance services carried out within the Program in the rural areas of the seven countries of the Central American isthmus and Mexico.
The Program sought to achieve: better Technical Assistance Services suitable for Financial Intermediaries (FI) necessities and at their disposal; the validation and dissemination among FI and IFAD projects of financial technology instruments and methodologies; instruments for monitoring, evaluating and improving impact and FI and projects portfolio evaluations; and finally, the systematization of the appropriate knowledge and practices to be included in the strategy and in policy dialogues with Governments.
