Client: International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)

Country: Latin America

Date: 2006-2007

This project was part of the process that IFAD was conducting to update its strategy in the Rural Finance Services area for Latin America. With this purpose, IFAD has selected six countries: Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Brazil and Mexico.
With the objective of identifying and drawing the lessons learned from IFAD interventions in these countries and projects, and of suggesting adjustments to the selected projects, NODUS was commissioned to manage the project in whole, as well as the specific works in Peru, Brazil, Venezuela and Uruguay. NODUS was also in charge of the coordination of the consultants responsible for Colombia and Mexico. Finally, NODUS prepared a final report that presented the results of the review process and included our proposals for adjusting IFAD’s Rural Finance Strategy and for improving the implementation of the reviewed projects.
